Why The Legend of Zelda makes sense after watching this, I have no idea.
Two of the things I love most in life come together: The Legend and Zelda and time travel/timeline theories. An impressive debate exists over how the individual games in The Legend of Zelda series fit together into an overall timeline and this video is one of the most detailed examinations of the entire series. It also provides the strongest evidence I’ve seen for the Split Timeline theory (which I subscribe to). If you’re into the whole Zelda timeline debate, Zeldawiki.org and Zeldapedia have great overviews and details on multiple theories, and The North Castle Archive has an interesting Single Timeline fully laid out.
I’ve seen this video on a few different sites (originally at Joystiq), and I don’t know what to think of it. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is my favorite game of all time, and some of the lyrics are funny; but, at other times this just hurts.
With Lynne at the Nickelback, Hinder, Papa Roach, Saving Abel show. We missed Saving Abel because of the horrible traffic :(
Sadly the only picture I took that we both look good in we’re both partly cut out of. At least you can see my Zelda shirt :)
The Hammer of Dawn is one of The Greatest Video Game Weapons of All Time**. It is a high energy beam fired from an orbiting Imulsion powered satellite from the Gears of Wars Series. The wielder aims the beam by pointing a targeting-laser on the desired focus of attack. After the satellite locks onto the target, it fires the beam, instantly killing almost any type of enemy (source: Gears Wiki). There is nothing more fun than having a moment of patience, lining a up a shot, and then cutting a path through large numbers of Locust. As with all weapons, it does have one key weakness. The Hammer of Dawn is only functional with an open sky and when the satellite is aligned overhead; so it does not work indoors. The Hammer of Dawn is used to destroy/explode the Lambent-Brumak and thus sink the city of Jacinto at the end of Gears of War 2. Yes, I know Gears 2 came out in November and I just finished it…I’ve been busy.
**While the Hammer of Dawn is one of The Greatest Video Game Weapons of All Time, it is not the greatest of all; the greatest is The Master Sword from The Legend of Zelda Series.
First art from a new Legend of Zelda game. I’m already pumped.
Edit/Addtion
Ignoring the obvious question, “Where is the Master Sword?”, and some others that come to mind (“Who is the girl?”, “Is she made of crystal?”, “Is that a fiery explosion of a castle wall?), the biggest question in my mind is “Is Link right-handed?!?!”
