Tin Can (on Locust): fun; the pizza: alright. I had a pepperoni and sausage pizza (Britney had some too). On the positive side, the cheese and the oversized pepperoni slices were very good. The negatives were the crust was bland and the sausage, as far as sausage goes, was plain. As well as trying some pizza, Britney had a grilled cheese and tomatoe soup. She thought the sandwich and soup were great, and agreed the pizza was only alright. The atmosphere of the Tin Can is fun. It’s a cross between a normal bar and a sports bar, with a specialty of an incredible variety of beers served in cans. After all, it is called the “Tin Can”. Britney had a Miller High Life; she felt she had too given the locale ;) Overall, if I go back, or to the one in Morganford, I’ll try something other than pizza.

carryout pizza from Onesto: good, but nothing special. I had one topped with pepperoni and sausage (first pic). The toppings were good, but the crust and sauce were very plain. Monica had BBQ chicken (second pic). She wanted me to add her thoughts on it as I always stay away from BBQ chicken pizzas. She said it was good, and very spicy. Overall, I will eat Onesto again, if it is an easy option; I just won’t go out of my way to track it down.
Pepperoni and sausage pizza at Schlafly Bottle Works: ok. The sausage is excellent. However, the rest was only average (Britney* thought it was good, she “kinda liked it”). The crust (Brit believes it was a Pilsner) was interesting, not good or bad, just interesting (Brit really liked it). Now, the Saison beer was good (Brit thought so too).
*Brit’s opinion is mentioned so heavily here because her and I went together, and she’s sitting next to me as I write this.
I ate at Three Monkeys over the weekend. The meat pizza (pepperoni, hamburger, slices of sausage, and bacon) was fantastic. And I plan to go back again, the burger I saw someone else eating looked very tasty.
Dewey’s Pizza: great.
Dewey’s had been recommended by several friends. Tonight, I had a pie with red sauce, half topped with pepperoni and smoked cheddar and the other half with sausage and oregano. The sauce is smooth; and the crust is moist. Pepperoni and cheddar go together well, and the sausage is excellent, but I’m not a fan of oregano on pizza. Overall, a great pizza; I plan to go back soon.Pizza-A-Go-Go: awesome, as always.
After playing some tennis, Lynne and I split a large pie, topped with pepperoni and sausage. It tasted great; and I have two pieces leftover for lunch tomorrow.
GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra has everything it takes to make a good summer action movie: massive explosions; a barely logical evil plot; complete disregard for the laws of physics; an evil hot chick; insane special effects; ninjas; over-the-top villains; heroic hot chicks; a five minute chase scene; cheesy dialog; millions of dollars of collateral damage; an obvious setup for a sequel; and it even ends with the classic side-by-side group walk towards the camera.
